Dr. Olson was born and raised in Saskatchewan, but has found a home on the West Coast. She completed her medical training and residency in Vancouver, and practiced there for six years before moving to the Comox Valley in 2018. She loves providing full service family medicine, and supporting families and individuals in their day to day health needs, preventive and proactive care, and also through the more intense moments of illness, loss and challenge that each of us faces at different times in our lives. Dr. Olson is especially passionate about lifestyle medicine, as in using the foundations of healthy living to create wellness, as well as group medical visits. She continues to offer a focused women's health service through the Rosewall Women's Clinic in addition to her general practice, and she shares the leadership at Westward Medical along with Dr. Hawley. Outside of clinic and work time, Dr. Olson loves spending time with her family in the many amazing natural spaces the Valley has to offer, puttering in the garden, and singing in choir.
