Valuing a broad and multifaceted approach to her education, Dr. Hawley grew up in Winnipeg, obtained her degree in Kinesiology in Abbotsford, completed her medical degree at the UBC Southern Medical Program in Kelowna, and then went on an adventure to the Newfoundland west coast to complete her rural family medicine training. It is there that she discovered her passion for both family medicine as well as emergency medicine. In addition to the joy of providing longitudinal care to her own family practice patients, she now works part time in urgent care, and is also keen to explore innovative ways to incorporate virtual care into our healthcare systems to improve quality and access to patient care. On her days off, Dr. Hawley enjoys exploring both land and sea with family and friends.
